Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Allied Health Professor Provides Cooking Classes to Homeschooled Children

This spring, registered dietitian and food and nutrition professor Pao Ying Hsiao conducted a four-part cooking series for a group of 12 homeschooled students from Indiana County, mostly ages 10 to 12 years old, with one eight-year-old, for “Little Hands, Big Impact: A Pilot Study Exploring How Teaching Kids to Cook Influences Family Food Practices.â€

Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics Celebrating National Nutrition Month With Smoothie Sale, Mac and Cheese Cookoff to Benefit Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Food Pantry and Help Center

The Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND) at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has organized a smoothie sale and mac and cheese crockpot charity cookoff to celebrate National Nutrition Month in March. The mac and cheese crockpot cook-off, which is open to the community, will be held March 25.

Heisler Receives CPDC Partner Hall of Fame Award

Jackie Heisler, program coordinator of the Respiratory Care program and associate professor in the Allied and Public Health Department, has been recognized as an exemplary partner to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Career and Professional Development Center and was awarded an Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ CPDC Partner Hall of Fame Award.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is pleased to announce a new education partnership with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County that expands clinical training opportunities for students enrolled in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Medical Imaging Bachelor of Science programs.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Students Participate in US-China Youth Program on Health Sciences and Culture

Six students in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s College of Health Sciences participated in an international conference in China on medicine and health through the US-China Youth Program on Health Sciences and Culture, and an Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ faculty member was an invited presenter for the conference.
