Â鶹ÊÓƵ Allied Health Professor Provides Cooking Classes to Homeschooled Children

This spring, registered dietitian and food and nutrition professor Pao Ying Hsiao conducted a four-part cooking series for a group of 12 homeschooled students from Indiana County, mostly ages 10 to 12 years old, with one eight-year-old, for “Little Hands, Big Impact: A Pilot Study Exploring How Teaching Kids to Cook Influences Family Food Practices.â€

Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics Celebrating National Nutrition Month With Smoothie Sale, Mac and Cheese Cookoff to Benefit Â鶹ÊÓƵ Food Pantry and Help Center

The Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND) at Â鶹ÊÓƵ has organized a smoothie sale and mac and cheese crockpot charity cookoff to celebrate National Nutrition Month in March. The mac and cheese crockpot cook-off, which is open to the community, will be held March 25.

Six students in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College of Health Sciences participated in an international conference in China on medicine and health through the US-China Youth Program on Health Sciences and Culture, and an Â鶹ÊÓƵ faculty member was an invited presenter for the conference.
