As the semester comes to an end, we wanted to remind students that while Â鶹ÊÓƵ residence halls are scheduled to close at noon on Friday, May 10, we have options for students who need to stay in their rooms past the Friday, May 10, closing date.
Graduating seniors and any resident needing to stay later than noon on Friday, May 10, can stay until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, without any fee, but you must complete the Staying Late Form on your MyÂ鶹ÊÓƵ Housing Portal.
If you stay beyond 6:00 p.m. on May 11, there is a $35 per night fee. The option of remaining in your current room, with the $35 per night fee, is available through Monday, May 13.
To Complete the Staying Late Form:
In the current MyÂ鶹ÊÓƵ portal, my.iup.edu:
- Log in to . Select Campus Services.
- Select Sign Up for Housing and Dining and Access Related Services.
- Click the Spring 2024 Staying Late Form.
- Complete the form, and choose Save and Continue to submit.
In the new MyÂ鶹ÊÓƵ portal:
- Log in to MyÂ鶹ÊÓƵ and go to Discover.
- Search for "housing" and click on the Housing and Dining card.
- Click the Spring 2024 Staying Late Form.
- Complete the form, and choose Save and Continue to submit.
If you need campus housing past noon on Monday, May 13, you need to complete the summer housing form and email the completed form to Â鶹ÊÓƵ-Housing@iup.edu.
Check-out Information
To check out of your residence hall between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday, please come to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Housing Office, located on the ground floor of .
To check out between 4:00 p.m. and midnight, Monday–Thursday, please check out with RA staff in your individual hall's office.
Anyone who checks out between midnight and 8:00 a.m. will need to complete the Self Check-out process through your MyÂ鶹ÊÓƵ Housing Portal.
Self Check-out Process
In the current MyÂ鶹ÊÓƵ portal, my.iup.edu:
- Log in to .
- Select Campus Services.
- Select Sign Up for Housing and Housing Related Services.
- Click Self-Checkout.
- Fill in the required information. If you have a bedroom key, please upload the image of your key.
- Fill out the envelope at your hall office, and place your key in the drop box located at your hall office.

- Log in to MyÂ鶹ÊÓƵ and go to Discover.
- Search for "housing" and click on the Housing and Dining card.
- Click Self-Checkout.
- Fill in the required information. If you have a bedroom key, please upload the image of your key.

To check out on Friday, May 10, or Saturday, May 11, check out with the RA staff in your hall office.
You must remove all trash and personal items before you check out of your space. Â鶹ÊÓƵ Housing is not responsible for any items left behind after you check out.
