The premiere season of Sound Choices, presented by the department of music and The Lively Arts at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, continues Dec. 7 with the Holiday Music Festival at 3 p.m. in Gorell Recital Hall, located on the second floor of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Sutton Hall.

The concert features the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Chorale, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Chorus and Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Chamber Singers. Together, the three groups include more than 100 singers. Under the direction of James Dearing, the program also highlights guest artists Lucy Scandrett on harp and John Marstinizyn on guitar.

The program incorporates an international collection of Christmas and Hanukkah music with songs performed in English, Latin, Spanish dialects of Catalonian and Ladino, Yoruba Polish and German. A work titled “Hispanic Carols and Lullabies” includes Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ percussion major and marimba player Sarah Hann.

In addition to several harp duets that Scandrett will perform with student Jacqueline Gordon, selections include the popular “Ceremony of Carols” by Benjamin Britten for female voices and harp.
