I am sorry to tell you of the passing of Hunter Smith, a first-year music education major from Connellsville. Hunter died on November 23.

Memorial arrangements are private.

The death of someone you knew can evoke strong feelings. The best way to cope is to talk to your closest friends, family members, or trusted teachers. There are people among us who have experienced similar events, and they are often more than willing to help others going through difficult circumstances.

Students who would like to speak with an Â鶹ÊÓƵ counselor may call the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Counseling Center at  724-357-2621. Counselors are available for crisis appointments and consultation and to offer guidance and support during difficult times.

After traditional business hours, students can contact the Armstrong-Indiana 24-hour Crisis Line at 877-333-2470 for support.

Members of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Council on Spiritual and Religious Life also are available to help. Please email spiritual-life@iup.edu to have a campus minister provide support.
