Nicholas Deardorff received two awards presented by Â鶹ÊÓƵ's School of Graduate Studies and Research, in conjunction with the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Research Institute.
The awards are Outstanding Achievement in Research and Outstanding Achievement in Curriculum and Instruction (awarded with co-recipient Sue Rieg).
Deardorff has been instrumental in the creation and running of a new scanning electron microscope lab on campus and is currently leading an effort to create a collaborative Pennsylvania State System-wide geology field course that would include faculty and students from all State System universities.
