The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education has six collective bargaining units covering about 85 percent of the employees at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. The Labor Relations area of the Office of Human Resources at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is responsible for managing all aspects of the these bargaining units, including the following:

  • Interpret and administer all negotiated agreements
  • Interpret university policies and applicable employment law
  • Serve as hearing officers for grievance processes
  • Create and cultivate positive labor/management relations
  • Coach and counsel supervisors of represented and non-represented employees on grievances, discipline, performance improvement, etc.
