The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ wireless network is available on our main campus, as well as the Punxsutawney, Northpointe, and Pittsburgh East campuses.
Wireless routers are positioned in many locations to provide the best overall coverage. To connect to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ wireless, you will use your Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ credentials on your device or computer. The device or computer must have 802.11a/g/n/ac compliant wireless network card that supports the WPA2 security policy with AES encryption.
Please note: if you are experiencing slowness in the residential halls, the issue could be related to wireless printers broadcasting in your area. If you have further questions on possible issues, please log a ticket via so the issues can be researched further.

Tip # 1 - Expired password
If your wireless connection shows that your password is expired, you will need to complete a password reset via the Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR).
Tip #2 - Removal of old Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Wireless network profile
If you are unable to access the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ wireless network from an Apple iOS device with your username and correct password, you may need to remove an old “Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Wireless Network” network profile that is no longer supported. To check for profiles you may have installed on your iPhone, go to
Settings > General > VPN & Device Management
on your iOS device.
If you have a profile called “Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Wireless Network,” please delete it. You will then be able to connect to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ wireless network using your username and password.

Wireless Connection Instructions
Connecting to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Wireless
From your computer or smart device, access the wireless settings to find the available wireless connections.
- Find and connect to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in the network settings.
- You will be prompted to enter your Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ username and password. You will only enter the username part of the email address, not the @iup.edu.
- Click Connect.
- You should now be connected to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ wireless network.
eduroam wireless connection
eduroam is a secure, global internet service developed for the international research and education community. An Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ user can connect to a participating university’s wireless while visiting their campus.
Conversely, a user from a participating university can connect to eduroam while at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.

Any field not discussed below should be left blank.
- Select the Wi-Fi icon at the bottom right of your screen.
- Choose the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ network option.
- Select PEAP for the EAP method.
- Select MSCHAPV2 for the Phase 2 Authentication.
- Select Default under CA Certificate.
- Enter rs01.iup.edu;rs02.iup.edu;rs03.iup.edu in Domain Suffix Match.
- Enter your username as username@iupmsd.iup.edu for the Identity box.
- Enter your username as username@iupmsd.iup.edu for the Anonymous Identity box.
- Enter your Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ network password for the Password box.

Android Devices Setup
Please note that due to differences in Android versions, these instructions may not be comprehensive for your device. However, we believe that these instructions will work on most new Android devices.
- To connect your Android device to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ network, open your Settings app and tap on Network.
- Select Wi-Fi on the screen.
- Select the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ wifi option that pops up on your screen.
- For the EAP option, it should be PEAP.
- Phase 2 Authentication should be MSCHAPV2.
- Certificate should be Use Systems Certificates.
- Minimum TLS version should be TLS v1.0.
- Online Certificate Status (if available) should be Request Certificate Status.
- Domain should be rs01.iup.edu;rs02.iup.edu;rs03.iup.edu.
- In the Identity box, enter your Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ network username in the format of username@iupmsd.iup.edu
- In the Anonymous identity box, enter your Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ network username in the format of username@iupmsd.iup.edu
- Enter your network password in the Password box.
- Press Connect.
- You have now connected your device to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ network.
