The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Language, Literature, and Writing Department is committed to the value of the study abroad experiences.
All Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Spanish majors are required to participate in a study abroad experience of a minimum of four weeks.
Spanish minors and other students who want to improve their language fluency are also encouraged to participate in our study abroad programs. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ students may take advantage of one of the Spanish departmental programs in Valladolid, Spain, or Cuernavaca, Mexico.
Students may also choose to participate in other non-departmentally sponsored programs or exchanges, like those in Puebla, Mexico, Germany, France, or other countries. For information on non-departmental programs, contact the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Office of International Education.

The has sent students to Spain for over 50 years. Every spring semester, students are immersed in the Spanish culture, living with Spanish families, and taking 18 credits of Spanish coursework in Valladolid.
