Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Food Pantry and Help Center, located in Wallwork Hall, lower level, next to the Wallwork Courtyard Area. Hours of operation are listed on their site. You will need your I-Card to swipe in, and you can visit as many times as you would like. Grocery bags are provided for your convenience.
University College offers grab-n-go types of food, a food pantry, and school supplies, and is located in B01 Stabley Library. They can be reached at universitycollege-inquiry@iup.edu or 724-357-2375.
Salvation Army (635 Water St., Indiana, PA 15701): Sally’s Choice Pantry-Call for an appointment (724-465-2530), open on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. They also have the Made to Share refrigerator, which is filled with food from Sheetz available during the same time. You must also call for an appointment to visit the Made to Share refrigerator. There is also a Sally’s Little Outside Pantry outside the building where you can pick up food items anytime.
: They provide a home-cooked, free lunch on Mondays through Fridays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Pittsburgh Food Bank delivers fresh food (fruits, veggies, sometimes eggs and milk) every other Friday, which is made available the following Monday. The Center also has a Gleaning Program, where you can get free bread, baked goods, and grocery items donated by area merchants, which are available year-round for residents in need. Love Basket Foundation: Provides food for those in need in the Indiana community. Located at 2334 Oakland Ave., Unit 130, Indiana, PA 15701. Call 724-357-9709 or email jvbaughn@zen-tinel.com.
Indiana Borough Food Bank: Second Tuesday of every month at Trinity United Methodist Church (398 Church St, Indiana, PA 15701) from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for Borough residents only. Be there no later than 9:30 a.m. on your first visit, and bring your lease or a piece of mail with your address on it. You will receive a 40-50 lb. box of food.
White Township Food Bank: Second Tuesday of every month at the Indiana Mall (2334 Oakland Ave., Indiana, PA 15701) from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for White Township residents only. Food is distributed at the back of the mall directly behind the movie theater. Be there no later than 10:30 a.m. on your first visit and bring your lease or a piece of mail with your address on it. You will receive a 40-50 lb. box of food.
