Amar Mmoud, a graduate student in the Curriculum and Instruction DEd program (Professional Studies in Education, College of Education and Human Services), was presented the 2025–26 Liberal Studies/Crimson Core Teaching Excellence Award for effective classroom instruction of UNIV 101 – First Learning Year (Student Affairs, Student Success, and Disability Access, University College), the foundational course of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s new Crimson Core general education curriculum.

Presenting the award was Director of Liberal Studies/Crimson Core and First Learning Year Dawn Smith-Sherwood, who lauded Mmoud, not only for his effective instruction but also for his collaboration, creativity, and reliability as a colleague.
